Description
Sanctified Legacy is a Blood Magic, Nature's Aura, Enigmatic Legacy, and Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks Integration Mod for 1.20.1. Inspired by the Tome of Blood addon for Ars Nouveau, this addon grants mages the capability to tap into the dark side of spell casting and call forth spells using their very own Life Essence. Additionally, as of v2.0, adds a counterpart to the Ring of the Seven Curses in the form of a blessed line under the Ring of the Seven Virtues.
Current Features
- [Enigmatic Legacy] Ring of the Seven Curses
While equipped, additionally does the following:
↠ Allows the player to cast spells without any mana consumption. Consume LP instead at an increased rate relative to the original Mana Cost, the Spell Level, and the Spell Rarity.
↠ The Mana Bar is replaced with an LP Bar with obfuscated values. Equip the Divination or Seer's Sigil to reveal your actual LP.

↠ The LP Cost of Spells are visible on inscribed items, spellbooks, scrolls, and the spell wheel.
↠ Drastically reduces all spell cooldowns and casting times.

↠ Casting any spell whose LP Cost Requirement exceeds the player's remaining LP will cancel the spell and instantly kill the player. - [Enigmatic Legacy] Forbidden Fruit
When consumed, additionally does the following:
↠ Alteration of the 7th Curse: Automatically cancels and negates the LP used to cast the spell when the player attempts to cast any spell whose LP Cost Requirement exceeds the player's remaining LP. This prevents the player from dying due to excessive spellcasting.
- Dormant Blasphemy

↠ Crafted at the Blood Altar using the Heart of the Abyss.
↠ Costs 10M LP with a Consumption Rate of 8K and Drain Rate of 20K. This is only possible with a properly setup altar.
↠ Heart of the Abyss is an item from Enigmatic Legacy obtained from defeating the Ender Dragon if you have the Ring of the Seven Curses equipped and has spent 99.5% of your playtime with the ring equipped. If the conditions are satisfied, it drops one per death at a maximum limit of five. - Elemental Blasphemy

↠ Crafted at the Soul Forge using the Dormant Blasphemy, 3 Upgrade Orbs, and 4096 Will.
↠ One for each element. You can only equip one at any given time.
↠ Can only be worn if the player has spent at least 99.5% of their time with the Ring of the Seven Curses.
↠ Reduces the final LP Cost of the corresponding element by 85%.
↠ Prevents casting spells for every other element that doesn't match the blasphemy's element.
↠ Increases the corresponding Spell Power multiplicatively by the amount of curses the player has. - Ring of the Seven Virtues [v2.0]
v2.0 introduces the Path to Divinity, the direct counterpart line to the Ring of the Seven Curses. While the Ring of the Seven Curses sacrifices the self, the concept of the Ring of the Seven Virtues is to instead.. sacrifice the world. The next update will add a new dependency to the mod: Nature's Aura. Please make adjustments accordingly.
↠ Burden 1 prevents the player from using Swords, Axes, Pickaxes, Shovels, and Hoes for dealing damage.
↠ Burden 2 shifts the aggro of mobs to you. Unlike the Ring of the Seven Curses, shifting the aggro requires the mob to be aggro'd in the first place. The Ring of the Seven Virtues signifies defense. What use is your defense if you do not make use of it?
↠ Burden 3 prevents you from dealing any damage if your armor set is incomplete. Make sure to wear a helmet, a chestplate, leggings, and a pair of boots otherwise you will deal no damage. Don't worry about the damage reduction penalty. Check out the Scroll of a Thousand Virtues.
↠ Burden 4 is a no brainer. Try to hit animals and lightning will strike you down.
↠ Burden 5 mirrors the Ring of the Seven Curses' curse. However, instead of burning forever in the contact of flames, you shall freeze forever when you ever so slightly dip your toes in powder snow. Of course, you can clear it up by setting yourself on fire or jumping into a pool of lava. Whichever works your fancy!
↠ Burden 6 is a hard one. The moment you step into an area where there is no light, you will cease to be able to move. You only have one escape: Divine Recall. But make sure your home base is lit up. And not to worry, you can move during the night time even when there is no moon. The restriction only applies to when the light level is 0 and under an open sky, it is always light level 4.
↠ Burden 7 is not really much of a burden if you're careful. Instead of using up Mana, you consume Aura. Aura is infinite both positively and negatively. But of course, there are corresponding effects for both sides of the coin.
↠ The concept of redirecting damage to the world as part of the 7th Virtue is simple. If the damage that you are about to take is ISS Spell Damage, you will only take 40% of that damage. 60% is instead dealt to the environment by diminishing the Aura of the area.
↠ The rest of the virtues are self explanatory, but I should note that for the 3rd virtue, chests are rerolled 4 times by default. And you get all items for all 4 rolls. This means you have 4 chances to get 4x as much or better loot.
As such, it comes with its own set of Virtue-only items:
- Potioneer's Pearl [v2.0]

↠ If you're confused, base tier means Lv 1. - Insignia of Lightforged Benediction [v2.0]

↠ Which means at full durability, you gain: 100 Armor, 50 Armor Toughness, 200 Max Health, and 25 Knockback Resistance. Note that Armor and Armor Toughness are capped to 30 and 20 respectively unless you have AttributeFix installed.
↠ For balancing and obvious reasons, should you decide to equip an unbreakable item, you will not receive the corresponding trait buff. - Scroll of a Thousand Virtues [v2.0]

↠ Equipping this item additionally sets the cap of the 3rd Burden's penalty to max out at 60%. Now you can start dealing significant damage even with insane Armor values. - The Curse of Exaltation [v2.0]

↠ Exalts all nearby entities, forcing their souls to ascend to the heavens leaving their bodies protected by the divine. Exaltation ends when there is no holder of the ring nearby.
↠ Exalted entities are inflicted with Glowing, are stripped of their AI, and are made invulnerable to ALL forms of damage during this state.
↠ Tamed entities and Boss mobs cannot be exalted. Additional and unaccounted entities may be excluded via the configs.
↠ Once worn, similar to The Burden of Desolation, it cannot be unequipped. - The Ambrosial Arbor [v2.0]

↠ I won't spoil the fun. Will you eat it? How many will you eat? If you have trouble finding it, look into buried treasure chests. - Righteous Mirror [v2.0]

- The Just [v2.0]

↠ You'd appreciate the right click ability a lot to save you from total darkness which will stop all your movement. No need to carry thousands of torches! This item has no durability and you can use it endlessly. - The Aeternum [v2.0]

- Elemental Sacraments

↠ Crafted by performing the Ritual of the Forest with the Dormant Sacrament, 3 Upgrade Orbs, and 4
Spirit of Infinity. This ritual consumes time as a resource. It will take 7 Minecraft Days to complete. Be patient.
↠ One for each element. You can only can only equip one at any given time.
↠ Can only be worn if the player has spent at least 99.5% of their time with the Ring of the Seven Virtues.
↠ The counterpart to the Elemental Blasphemy, providing integration with Iron's Spells 'n Spellbooks.
↠ In addition to converting all damage taken into a single damage type, it also provides the corresponding resistance to that element depending on the Aura around the area.
↠ If the original damage type of the attack received matches the element of the sacrament, the attacker will take the full burnt of the damage as if it was your own with an additional multiplier relative to the Aura around the area.
↠ Since Aura values, unlike LP, can go negative.. so too can your buffs turn into debuffs. Should you decide to equip this item in an area with very low Aura, you will start to take more damage instead. In this unfateful scenario, if the attack of the enemy matches the element of your sacrament, you will start to heal them instead of reflecting damage. - Major Changes to Enigmatic Legacy Items
↠ The default Looting and Fortune levels for the Ring of the Seven Curses has been adjusted to +7 instead of +1. Armor reduction penalty is adjusted to 80% and the reduction to damage dealt is completely removed. Please delete your Enigmatic Legacy config files upon installing v2.0 of Covenant of the Seven to allow it to regenerate and have these values reflect properly.
↠ As of v2.0 the following items can only be equipped/used if the player is wearing the Ring of the Seven Virtues: Essence of Raging Life, Charming Insignia, Gift of the Heaven, Grace of the Creator
↠ As of v2.0 the following items can only be equipped/used if the player is wearing the Ring of the Seven Curses: Majestic Elytra.

Compatibility
One of the strongest selling points of Sanctified Legacy - Iron's Spells Addon is its robust compatibility profile. The developer, llenzzz, has worked tirelessly to ensure that this project plays nicely with the broader Minecraft ecosystem. It is explicitly designed for version 1.20.1, meaning it takes full advantage of the latest engine optimizations and feature additions introduced by Mojang.
Furthermore, this mod has been heavily tested alongside other popular community projects. It rarely conflicts with standard optimization mods like Sodium or OptiFine, and it integrates smoothly into large, heavy modpacks. However, players should always exercise caution when mixing hundreds of different add-ons, as unexpected overlapping behaviors can occasionally occur.
Pros and Cons

- Highly optimized for version 1.20.1.
- Actively maintained and updated by llenzzz.
- Excellent compatibility with major modpacks.
- Completely free to use and community-supported.
Cons ❌
- May require a decently powerful CPU/GPU for maximum settings.
- Initial setup can be tricky for absolute beginners.
- Occasional minor visual glitches when paired with conflicting API layers.
Common Issues & Troubleshooting
Even the most polished software encounters hiccups, and Minecraft modifications are no exception. If you run into trouble while using Sanctified Legacy - Iron's Spells Addon, do not panic. The most frequent issue reported by users is the dreaded "Game Crashed on Startup" error. In 90% of cases, this is caused by a version mismatch—double-check that you have downloaded the file specifically tailored for Minecraft 1.20.1.
Another common scenario involves missing dependencies. Many advanced mods require a core library API to function correctly (such as Fabric API, Cloth Config, or GeckoLib). Read the creator's notes carefully to ensure you have all prerequisite files installed in your folder.
Performance Impact
Performance is often the primary concern for players when modifying their game. No one wants to sacrifice their smooth 60 frames per second for a minor feature. Fortunately, Sanctified Legacy - Iron's Spells Addon is incredibly well-optimized. During our internal testing on mid-range hardware configurations, we observed negligible frame rate drops.
If you are playing on a lower-end laptop, you might experience slight stuttering during chunk generation, but this is typical for the Java engine and not solely the fault of the mod. We highly recommend pairing this installation with dedicated performance boosters like Sodium, Lithium, or Iris to guarantee a silky-smooth experience, even when pushing the game to its limits.
